Tiers
More Gears has six tiers. Each one has its own material, and most have a special effect. This page lists every item in each tier. For numbers, see Tools & weapons, Armor and Bows & arrows.

Copper
Minecraft has its own copper tools and armor now, so More Gears only adds a copper bow and copper arrows. It also gives vanilla copper armor a perk: wear the full set and lightning can't hurt you.
Bronze
An early upgrade over iron, made from copper and tin in the Alloy Smelter. Bronze pickaxes, axes, shovels and hoes mine three times faster while you're in water and glow while they do. A bronze pickaxe is the first one that can mine ruby ore.
Steel
Iron alloyed with coal. Steel swords and tools attack a full point per second faster than their bronze and ruby versions, but holding one in either hand slows you down. Steel mines everything diamond can.
Ruby
Mined from ruby ore. Ruby gear is a little weaker than diamond but mines the same blocks, and you can get it before you find diamonds.
Titanium
Made by upgrading netherite gear with a Titanium Upgrade. Titanium armor, spears and maces don't burn in fire or lava, and piglins stay neutral while you wear titanium armor. The titanium mace never breaks. A titanium pickaxe is the first one that can mine enderite ore.
Enderite
The top tier, made by upgrading titanium gear with an Enderite Upgrade. Every enderite tool, weapon and armor piece is unbreakable and fireproof. Enderite armor makes you immune to fire and lava, keeps piglins neutral, the boots stop fall damage, and the helmet stops drowning. See Special effects for everything it does.
